My Artistic Journey
As a passionate artist, I have always found joy in making creative art using vibrant and cheerful designs. Each piece reflects my love for color and creativity, making my greeting cards and magnets unique treasures.
My name is Amber O’Brien and I am the artist and greeting card maker for Amber’s Awesome Art. I live in Nampa, Idaho with my husband, 5 year old daughter, three dogs and two cats. Much of my inspiration comes from our pets.
I have a bachelors degree in art from University of Sacramento and have been drawing since my daughter’s age. Colorful and happy art is what really motivates me to create the bright cheerful animals that I illustrate. I love using watercolor, digital drawing with Procreate, charcoal and acrylics. Though lately, the first two have been my primary go-to’s.
“Where the smile things are” is the slogan I have developed over time that seems to capture the essence of my work. Any image you find of mine whether on a handmade magnet or hand printed card will make you feel joyful and eager to see more!
